THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Candidate Manager I on our team, you’ll help us in our core mission of introducing job opportunities to candidates. Through our automated outbound recruiting system, Headhunt.AI, and our upcoming jobs listing site, ESAI.jobs, you will have the opportunity to meet the best and hardest-to-reach candidates in Japan’s tech industry.

Every week you will be expected to handpick target lists of candidates for jobs at our clients. These lists will be handed to our Data team to process and load into Headhunt.AI. Then, like magic, your inbox will be full of candidates who want to meet you.

Your days will be full of meetings with a who’s who of tech workers in Japan.  Your job is to be their professional career advisor and guide them towards the best career decisions. If this overlaps with our clients’ positions, then you will have an opportunity to make placements at our clients. Placements will grant you commission bonuses.

THE TECHNOLOGY

ExecutiveSearch.AI uses our own proprietary software combined with industry leading software from Silicon Valley. Our core product suite is named Headhunt.AI and it has generated us millions of dollars in revenue.

Our core focus is on high quality data & world-class automation, providing you the free time to be a recruiter and not a LinkedIn robot.

Most of our outbound communication is written and optimized by AI, leveraging machine learning technology from the OpenAI research lab.

Our core stack is written in React and Python, and is hosted on AWS using serverless architecture like lambda. We employ home-grown chatbots and internal tools that interface with external systems such as Microsoft Teams, Calendly and Zoom.

When we can, we release software as open source contributions, to give back to the community.

THE SKILLSET

  • Previous experience as a tech recruiter with a track record of making placements in complex organizations

  • Strong empathy and people skills

  • Fluency in Japanese and English or demonstrated study towards fluency in both languages

  • Experience with CRM, ATS, or other sales tracking tools

  • Above-average technical aptitude among your peers

WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL

  • Undergo an intense Candidate Manage training program designed to bring you up to the level of an industry-leading recruiter.

  • Learn ExecutiveSearch.AI’s technical systems and build your first target lists and sales collateral to be automated via AI.

  • Study all of our key accounts positions, culture and tech stack.

  • Undergo a detailed 15 hour tech recruiting specific training certification course covering all aspects of the software development life cycle.

  • Get to know your colleagues including the Partners, Business Managers, assistants, engineers, and other Candidate Managers.

  • Get your first experience with our KPIs, expectations, and operations workflows.

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU'LL

  • Have met dozens of headhunted candidates.

  • Have introduced 20+ candidates to our clients.

  • Have scheduled multiple interviews for your candidates.

  • Have sat in on detailed interview preparation sessions run by your senior colleagues.

  • Have started to run your own interview preparation sessions.

  • Run many meetings completely on your own.

  • Possibly made your first placement(s)! (The all-time billing record for someone’s first quarter is 27M)

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL

  • Have built relationships with hundreds of candidates who see you as a trusted advisor.

  • Be eligible for promotion to Candidate Manager II.

  • Have a chance to sit in on the advanced Business Manager (client side) training course led by our CEO.

  • Have regular “skip level” meetings with senior management to discuss career development and long-term career planning.

  • Be seen as a successful early member of a growing company culture and be given opportunities to mentor new hires. This will give exposure to the management aspects of recruiting which is key in a growing organization like ours.
